Sorry for posting blogs on two different sites. I can't post on the other one unless I have Jerran's computer!
Keegan had his 1 year appointment today. I took him by myself since Jerran had a busy day at work. It was a challenge at times since he's so busy! He didn't like when the nurse measured his head, he was super upset by that! He didn't mind the rest of the stuff though, even looking in his mouth, until it came time for the shots. He only got a few today- we decided to delay a couple of them so he's wasn't getting them all at one time.
His stats:
Weight - 17 pounds 14 ounces - 1%
Height - 28 1/2 inches - 12%
Head - 17 3/4 - 16%
He's still just a little guy! The doctor wasn't concerned about his weight this time, but wants to do another weight check in a few months.
AND the exciting news....
He took a few steps last night!!!! YAY Keegan! He would stand for a long time but not want to move his feet. He finally got brave enough to take a few! Grandpa and Grandma were really excited that they were here to see that!
He's still talking up a storm. Most of the time we don't know what he's trying to tell us, but he's really emphatic about getting his point across! He's been saying "NOOOOAH" which we are pretty sure means "no way!" The other day when Jerran was saying bye to us Keegan said "bye dad" and he now says "hi" every time you open a door. Silly boy!!

He is just a little guy! That's OK, he will look like a baby for longer. YAY on taking your first steps! Makenna's ears must be feeling better because she is on the move/walking again around the house. She doesn't like crawling, she hates the way it feels on her knees, she always picks them up if she is crawling and turns to the bear crawl. She is also big on saying hi and bye, she also seems to say Dad more than Mom, I think it's because Ben is gone so often she misses him and hopes saying his name will bring him home... When is your next one???haha
